Specialist Mental Health Support for Children and Young People
Your Space Foundation provides specialist children’s counselling and trauma-informed therapy for children and young people experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, trauma, and school-related difficulties. We offer early, relational mental health support for children, helping to prevent challenges from escalating and ensuring families can access the right support at the right time.
Our approach recognises that children are supported best when the adults around them are supported too. Alongside direct work with children and young people, we offer compassionate guidance for parents and carers, helping them to better understand their child’s needs and feel more confident in responding to them.
Based in Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, we also work with schools and professionals to strengthen the systems around children, creating safer, more emotionally attuned environments where children can begin to feel understood and supported.
Why Families and Professionals Choose Your Space Foundation
Families, parents, carers and professionals come to Your Space Foundation when a child’s emotional distress feels complex, overwhelming, or difficult to understand.
Our work is grounded in strong clinical expertise and a relational, trauma-informed approach, supporting not only children, but also the parents, carers, and professionals around them.
Families choose Your Space Foundation for compassionate, specialist support that prioritises emotional safety, connection, and lasting wellbeing.
If something feels different for a child or young person, it matters.
Changes can appear as increased worry, big emotions, withdrawal, difficulties with school, or feeling overwhelmed. These may be early signs that a child could benefit from mental health support.
Children do not have to manage emotional distress alone, and parents, carers, and professionals do not need certainty, a diagnosis, or a crisis to seek children’s counselling or trauma-informed support.
Responding early can help restore emotional safety and prevent difficulties from escalating.
