Frequently asked questions
Therapy is for anyone who wants to seek emotional support with a difficulty they are facing. You do not need to be in crisis; you can access therapy any time that it feels right for you.
The number of counseling sessions you will receive varies depending on whether your support is funded or privately commissioned.
For funded support, the number of sessions is typically determined by the specific funding arrangement in place, which may include a set number of sessions or an assessment of ongoing needs.
If you are privately commissioning your sessions, you have the flexibility to decide the duration and frequency of your counseling in collaboration with our therapist, tailored to your individual needs and goals.
We currently charge £60 a session for private 1-1 therapy, this cost is the same regardless of age and location.
Our therapists will never tell you how to solve your problems. Instead, sessions provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This process helps you gain a better understanding of yourself, which in turn enables you to make informed decisions that are right for you. Our aim is to empower you to find your own solutions and develop coping strategies that work best for your unique situation. This approach helps build long-term resilience and personal growth.
At Your Space Foundation, we understand that talking about your feelings can be challenging for both children and adults. We offer a variety of creative and play-based interventions designed to help you explore your emotions in a safe and supportive environment. These therapeutic techniques can be particularly effective if traditional verbal communication feels overwhelming. Our trained counsellors will work closely with you to tailor these methods to your individual needs, ensuring you receive the support necessary to navigate your emotional landscape. Our aim is to provide a comforting space where you can express yourself in the way that feels most natural to you.
We triage all referrals to ensure they are allocated to the Therapist that is best able to meet your needs. Whilst all our Therapists are highly qualified and experienced they all have specialist areas of interest and expertise, it's important to us that we find the right person for you to work with.
Your Space Foundation offer face to face appointments from our offices in Moulton Park, in schools and community settings; alternatively we can work online via WhatsApp or Zoom, enabling you to access therapy in a way that suits you.
